In Brno on Friday, 20 November, we will hold the first Central European Category Theory Seminar. The idea is to bring together researchers in category theory and its applications from around the region in an informal setting to meet and discuss their research.
There will be a few invited talks in the morning and our hope is to have contributed short talks by participants in the afternoon.
The idea is inspired by other regional seminars such as YAMCATS in England, CATNIP in Scotland and Dutchcats in the Netherlands. The name is inspired by the long-running Central European Seminar in Geometry.
We expect to have limited funding available for travel by train or bus and for accommodation in Brno.
More information, practical and otherwise, will be posted here as the time of the meeting approaches. In the meantime, the organisers, listed below, would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
John Bourke (Masaryk University)
Lukáš Vokřínek (Masaryk University)
Michael Lieberman (Brno University of Technology)
